AISHONANZUKA announces a solo exhibition of Hungarian artist Akos Ezer “Let the time pass”, which will be Ezer’s first solo exhibition in Hong Kong. On view from 20th Mar - 17th Apr 2021.

Ezer was born in Hungary in 1989, graduated from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 2014, and currently lives and works in Budapest. The most characteristic feature of Ezer’s works is the long and twisted characters that painted fill in canvas. They are intricately intertwined with each other in the pictures plane, sometimes blending into plants, smoke, water, or everyday scenes like camouflage.

They seem to express the feelings of young people who are bewildered by the ever changing and expanding modern society. These expressions are detailed in the characters’ facial expressions, fashions, background details, and accessories, making their thoughts even clearer.

In this exhibition, titled “Let the time pass” focuses on works created in the midst of the global pandemic of Covid-19, which has been in full swing since 2020, and the continued isolation and self-restraint of people staying at home. In this exhibition, you can get a glimpse of how the lonely and tedious daily life, which contradicts the rapidly changing social system, collides with each other and becomes intertwined.
