WALKING ALONG COLORFUL PATHS

VILLAZAN presents the group exhibition featuring works by internationally recognized artists Elvira Fustero Lopez, Jason Ho and Ross Taylor ranging from abstract expressionism to abstract landscapes.

May 16 - June 7, 2024

Elvira Fustero López (Spanish, born in Zaragoza 1947) is an internationally recognized visual artist, painter and sculptor who has exhibited around the world in leading art galleries and fairs. Her abstract paintings exude vigor and poetry, revealing a robust personality that remains always attentive to change.

Her works bring together expressionist gestures that transform the pictorial surface into dynamic rhythms that give volume and depth. Using mainly monochromatic tones accentuated by bright splashes of yellow, she orchestrates a visual symphony that evokes a sense of movement, showing her skill in the use of diverse techniques and media.

Jason Ho (b. 1993, UK) is a British-Chinese chartered architect and artist. His works have received commendation from renowned cultural organizations and featured on the RIBA Journal cover. The artworks showcased in the exhibition envelop the spectator in a realm of reflection and dialogue with each piece.

Each artwork acts as a portal to the imagination, inviting visitors to delve into the center composition of the works and engage in contemplation. This immersive experience encourages introspection and meditation, fostering a deep connection between the viewer and the art they behold.

Ross Taylor lives and works in the Macedon Ranges, a vast region of Central Victoria, Australia known for its wild terrains and expansive forests. Much of Taylor’s recent artistic practice is influenced by this epic landscape, one that wildly conflicts with his previous environment in the north of England, and is also a marked change to some of his earlier work.

Taylor articulates his intent by stating, "I attempt to convey not only what lies before me, but also what lingers behind and what remains unseen." His landscapes are imbued with vivid colors and a profound sense of vibrancy, yet they also exude a solitary, somber ambiance.
